Dubai Chocolate & Specialty Chocolate FAQs
What is Dubai Chocolate?
It is a thick chocolate bar with a creamy flavoured filling and a crunchy texture running through the middle. The classic version uses toasted kataifi pastry for that crunch, which is the style that blew up on TikTok. It is now one of the most popular specialty chocolates in Australia, and we make ours fresh in Sydney every week.
Why is it so popular?
The texture. You get the snap of the chocolate, a soft creamy middle and a proper crunch all in one bite. Nothing on the supermarket shelf does that, which is why people keep coming back for it.
What are the different flavours like?
Every bar has its own thing going on. The kataifi bars, like Pistachio and Biscoff, have that crispy shredded-pastry crunch, which is the original Dubai chocolate texture. Some, like the raspberry ones, are filled with rich spreads and jams instead, so they are softer and gooier inside. And a few, like the Bueno, have a crispy wafer layer for a lighter crunch. Same idea across the range, just different ways of getting that texture.
Which flavour should I try first?
If you have never had it, go the original Pistachio. It is nutty, smooth and not too sweet, and it is our best seller by a long way. From there it depends on your taste: Biscoff and Caramel Peanut Butter for the rich, salty-sweet end, Bueno if you want hazelnut and wafer, and the fruitier picks like Pistachio Raspberry, Peanut Butter Raspberry Jam and Raspberry Brownie if you like a bit of tang against the chocolate.
How big are the bars and how should I store them?
Each bar is between 200g and 220g, a fair bit heavier than a normal chocolate bar, so one is plenty to share. Keep it somewhere cool and out of direct sun. The fridge is fine and keeps the crunch crisp, just give it a few minutes out before eating so the chocolate is not rock hard. Best enjoyed within a couple of weeks of opening.
What makes a stuffed chocolate bar different from a regular one?
A stuffed or filled bar has a thick shell wrapped around a flavoured centre, such as caramel, cookie spread, strawberries and cream or peanut butter. They are richer than a standard bar and made in smaller batches.
What types of chocolate do you stock?
Dubai chocolate bars, stuffed bars, filled bars, matcha bars (including matcha white chocolate and cream-filled blends), loaded bars and the odd limited edition. We add new flavours often, so it is worth checking back.
