Hi Brett,
Sorry to hear your order arrived melted. I know that’s frustrating, especially when you’ve paid for Express and insulated shipping.

Your order was packed with ice packs and insulated bubble wrap, but once temperatures hit around 35 to 40 degrees it becomes difficult to control what happens inside the delivery vehicle. Australia Post drivers can have parcels sitting in very hot vans, and if the parcel is left outside in the sun at any point it can push the temperature well past what the gel packs are rated for.

Unfortunately Australia Post doesn’t cover melted chocolate under their policy, and they don’t offer compensation for heat-affected items. We do our best with packaging, but once the parcel leaves our kitchen the weather becomes a factor we can’t control.

If you ever need advice on the best days to order during hotter periods, or want us to hold an order to avoid during heat spikes in your area, just let me know and we’re happy to help.

It was a gift for my son who said that it was 'Quite hot' and enjoyed it. But then again, he had recently won a Chilli Eating competition. So, it probably is not a fair review on the scovil rating.
